People shouldn't be bought and sold.
Stop The Traffik are a global movement of over 45,000 activists who give their time, energy and passion to combat human trafficking.
As a fast growing global charity looking to nullify the supply and demand of human trafficking through disruptive campaigns and systemic change, Stop The Traffik want to engage activists, map activities and spearhead action across the globe. Their ambition is to develop a global grassroots movement that empowers and mobilises communities in a way that businesses and governments cannot. Made Open have helped them to achieve this goal.
In 2011, we developed a unique digital platform for Stop The Traffik; to establish, unite and resource community groups around the world in their aims to disrupt human trafficking at a local level. With activities spanning every major continent of the globe, www.stopthetraffik.org has helped to create a global movement driven by community-based activism; which has fortified their growth and message.
The website utilizes crowdsourcing, CRM and mapping technologies to make collaboration on local, national and international scales possible. This is a unique platform where activists around the world can set up, create campaigns, organise events, manage donations, share resources and even report incidents of human trafficking (which has led to real convictions).
