Made Open selected to join Cooperative Council’s innovation framework

Partnership with Perform Green leads to new contract award.

A national network of 22 local authorities has selected Made Open with our partners Perform Green to join a framework agreement for the Cooperative Council’s Innovation Network (CCIN).

Founded on the traditions of the co-operative movement, the Co-operative Councils Innovation Network is a collaboration between local authorities committed to transforming the way they work with communities. Their work recognises the need to define a new model for local government built on civic leadership, with councils working in equal partnership with local people to shape and strengthen communities.

As one of only 16 UK suppliers to be selected for this framework, Made Open will be eligible to help the CCIN meet unprecedented challenges facing the public sector and local communities.

Robert Woolf, Director of Made Open, says: “It’s a terrific achievement to be recognised nationally for our work in public service transformation, and as an influence for collective impact. We have for many years been committed to finding better ways of working with local authorities and local people to build more effective communities. We look forward to helping the network meet their challenges”.

Toby Rhodes, Innovation and Business Change Director of Perform Green, says: “We are really excited to be partnering with Made Open and look forward to collaborating closely with them and with CCIN Councils to help create significant change”.

CCIN membership is from across the UK including local authorities from the following areas: Bassetlaw, Cardiff, Croydon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Islington, Knowsley, Lambeth, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Norwich, Oldham, Plymouth, Rochdale, Salford, Sandwell, Southampton, Stevenage, Sunderland, and Telford & Wrekin.

The agreement starts in June 2016 and runs for two years, with a potential one year extension. Made Open is the primary contractor.

Partnership

Perform Green were first introduced to Made Open by Peter McCann, Growth Accelerator coach to both companies. Initially attracted to Made Open’s community development platform, which is being used in the UK and Australia, the two companies have since discovered much more in common. Together, they aim to demonstrate that organisational and community development, supported by a disruptive software-as-a-service platform and design-led processes, has the ability to create inclusive and sustainable economies where everyone can thrive.
