One of our ongoing challenges at Made Open is finding effective ways to support our clients without overloading our team.
Sometimes our clients lack design or content creation skills. Other times, they lack or lose the personnel needed to support the platform at the level they need.
We can address this challenge in one of two ways. Firstly, clients can outsource platform management to us. Alternatively, we can help them build local skills and capacity partnerships.
This includes:
Digital literacy training
Helping people use the platform effectively, ensuring they can access and benefit from it.
User support
Providing practical support for users, addressing technical issues and offering guidance.
Mentorship opportunities
Connecting digital experts with community members, sharing knowledge and skills.
While these people may need incentives or recognition, these collaborations ensure that the platform remains community-driven, with local organisations playing a critical role in supporting, growing and sustaining it over time.
